Marking the brand’s debut in the UK, the hotel will feature 110 guest rooms and suites, beginning at 355 square feet (33 square meters). It pays homage to the building’s heritage while embracing modern living. Additionally, the property will offer 14 branded residences, providing owners exclusive access to Six Senses privileges, including tailored interior design, concierge services, dining options, housekeeping, and wellness programs.

Park Hyatt

Anticipated to open in late 2024, the Park Hyatt London River Thames is set to feature 203 rooms and suites and will be situated within R&F UK’s Nine Elms development. Positioned in the southern part of London, along the south bank of the Thames and directly opposite Westminster, the upcoming hotel offers proximity to notable landmarks like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tate Britain, Battersea Park, Sloane Square and Kings Road. Guests will have the opportunity to be near the new U.S. Embassy, explore Sloane Square and the lively Kings Road, visit the Tate Britain, stroll in the 200-acre Battersea Park, and discover the Kia Oval cricket ground. The St. Regis London United Kingdom

Scheduled to welcome its inaugural guests this year, The St Regis London undergoes a comprehensive $122 million USD redevelopment and transformation of the former Westbury Mayfair Hotel, including the addition of an eighth floor. With 196 elegant rooms and suites envisioned, the hotel’s design is curated by Peter Newman-Earp of Morrison Design, featuring interiors by Richmond International. Furthermore, the property will undergo an extension to the rear, enhancing public areas, alongside renovations to the building’s façade and the drop-off area at the main entrance. The design blueprint encompasses a signature restaurant, a speakeasy jazz bar, and facilities such as a fitness center and spa. Honoring the building’s heritage, The St Regis London will preserve the iconic Polo Bar, originally designed for the polo-playing Phipps family, creators of the Westbury Hotel in New York and London. Guests will have the opportunity to savor a local twist on the Bloody Mary, St. Regis’ signature cocktail.

Diverging from its Hyde Park counterpart, the second London establishment by Mandarin Oriental is set to exude a boutique ambiance in Hanover Square, featuring a modest 50 guest rooms adjacent to 78 private residences. Notably, the hotel will house the inaugural U.K. restaurants by celebrity chef Akira Back, presenting a Korean-Japanese eatery, a contemporary Korean spot with a 14-seat counter-style setup, a rooftop lounge, and a cocktail bar. Additionally, guests can anticipate a tranquil spa sanctuary with an indoor pool and distinctive treatments, including binaural biohacks.

Enthusiasts of The Maybourne properties, including Claridges and The Berkeley, will delight in the unveiling of the British hospitality brand’s latest venture in London: The Emory. As the acclaimed Maybourne Group’s fourth hotel in London, The Emory introduces a new style to its portfolio. Nestled in Knightsbridge, the modern aesthetic of The Emory stands in contrast to the more classical properties in the collection. The hotel, with just 60 suites spread across 9 floors, features each floor uniquely designed by acclaimed designers such as Alexandra Champalimaud, André Fu, and Pierre Yves Rochon. The rooftop promises to offer one of the most panoramic views in the city, complemented by Jean-Georges’ ABC Kitchen’s first outpost across the pond. Designed by renowned French hotelier Costes, One Sloan is situated within a Victorian Mansion on the prestigious Cadogan Estate in Kensington & Chelsea. Featuring only 30 individually crafted rooms, this new hotel aims to evoke the ambiance of a chic friend’s townhome in Chelsea.

The Newman

New-kid-on-the-block hospitality company Kinsfolk & Co.—founded by alums of Corbin and King, Firmdale Hotels, and The Goring—opened their first hotel with The Newman in Fitzrovia. Its interiors, by Pernille Lind and Richy Almond of Lind + Almond (known for Hotel Sanders in Copenhagen) will blend Art Deco influences with modern touches.

However, this marks a significant departure for them – the inauguration of the first truly upscale hotel on the tranquil and unspoiled island of Tinos. Tinos is primarily recognized as a spiritual pilgrimage site due to the immense Our Lady of Tinos church, dating back to the 1830s. The recently introduced 77-room property, designed by Greek architects Panos Nikolaidis and Alexandros Triantafyllidis, is conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the old town (chora) and boasts its private beach. However, a burgeoning luxury scene is emerging in the city, exemplified by the Corinthia Grand Hôtel du Boulevard. Originally constructed in 1867 as a hotel, it has endured various trials and is set to reclaim its status as the city’s primary society hub after a comprehensive renovation (with limited competition in the area). This revamped version takes the form of a boutique establishment, featuring only 30 rooms, multiple restaurants, a bar, and a ballroom.

Malta’s capital welcomes a new upscale boutique hotel, Romègas, featuring 23 rooms within a 500-year-old palazzo. The interiors will showcase terrazzo floors and wood panels, complemented by traditional Maltese balconies crafted from hand-carved stone on the exterior. Additionally, Romègas will boast a signature restaurant helmed by the renowned Maltese chef Marvin Gauci.
